Healthcare informatics is termed as Intersection of Information Science, Computer Science and Healthcare and primarily aims at studying the principal computer applications related to technology in developing human health care and solving the existing problems to facilitate efficient management. It helps in decision making process, hospital administration and system management and in catering the needs of clients/patients and doctors. The digital transformation of healthcare delivery remains a work in progress, and contextual variation continues to be one of the barriers to the development of sustainable health information technology. Sustainable Healthcare Technologies and Intelligent Systems as a system improves, maintains or restores health, while minimizing negative impacts on the environment and leverages opportunities to restore and improve it, to the benefit of the health and well-being of current and future generations. Sustainable healthcare improves: Constructing and managing healthcare facilities following sustainable practices; design sustainable healthcare processes, and promotes daily sustainable practices for healthcare employees and departments. Health care leaders have a tremendous opportunity to champion the sustainability movement and make a lasting positive impact on the industry and on the long-term health of their patients, their communities and the world. For example, industry leaders are striving to make global health care supply chains more sustainable via policies that promote ethically manufactured and environmentally friendly products and services. A recent study of sustainability in the supply chains that several hospitals throughout the Middle East use found that when institutions worked together to identify and promote shared sustainability goals, they were more effective at making health care workers consider the environmental impact of their actions, from their use of water and energy to the disposal of potentially hazardous medical waste. This demonstrates the important role of health care leaders in promoting sustainable communities as a key to ensuring the health and safety of their patients, within health care settings and outside of them. The aim of this book/International Conference on Healthcare Informatics, Biomedical Technologies and Intelligent Systems is to publish conceptual and advanced reference material centered around Health Informatics and Healthcare using AI and Smart Computing leading to sustainable healthcare. There are numerous fields within the healthcare sector where these technologies are applicable including successful ways of handling patients during a pandemic time. Large volumes of data, data analysis, smart computing devices like IoT for sensing health data have drastically changed the way the healthcare sector functions. The scope of the book is to report the latest advances and developments in the field of Health Informatics with the use of the latest sustainable healthcare technologies. CALL FOR PAPERS
The theme of the conference mainly focuses on intelligent applications and various system design issues. The submitted papers will cover a wide range of topics of Computer Science and Information Technology discipline ranging from image processing, database application, data mining, grid and cloud computing, bioinformatics and many others.
